I really enjoyed my experience in the Responsive Classroom Workshop. It provided me with insights in how my lead teacher runs the classroom and furthered my knowledge on the importance of language with my students. The four domains of responsive classroom: engaging academics, positive community, developmentally responsive teachers, and effective management, all resonate with me and the teacher I want to become in order to assist my students in the best way possible. Learning the morning meeting model was also a highlight for me. I have seen my lead teacher use this technique in the classroom daily but I did not realize the importance and meaning behind it. Morning meeting is an integral part of the students' day and is a powerful way to start each day on a positive note that can impact the rest of the day. I look forward to practicing skills that I learned in the workshop such as, the interactive modeling skill, in the classroom and continuing my education in responsive classroom by engaging frequently with their website.

I'm glad it was a worthwhile day and am curious about what you were able to incorporate in to the morning meeting for students in your class. Their website certainly has some great resources!
